You Are the Medicine.
A reflection on Kundalini Bodywork & the sacred remembering of who you are
So many of us arrive at healing spaces believing we are broken. We come searching for someone to fix us, hold us, save us. But the truth is—you are not broken. You are potent. And you are the medicine you've been seeking all along.
This is the heart of Kundalini Bodywork, as taught by Elliot Saxby and carried through in the work I offer at O Bodywork.
Unlike traditional approaches that seek to impose change or override the body’s wisdom, Kundalini Bodywork is a path of deep listening and sacred permission. It invites your body—not your mind—to guide the way. It honours your unique rhythm, your trauma, your energy, your pleasure… and trusts that your system already knows how to heal, if given the space to do so.
The Body Remembers.
The body holds everything—stories, sensations, sorrow, silence, longing, lifetimes. And at the very centre of it all lies a radiant intelligence: your Kundalini.
This energy is not something to chase or force. It is not something external that someone gives to you.
It is already inside you. It rises when you’re ready to meet yourself fully.
In session, we don’t try to push or control the awakening. We co-create a safe space for the body to soften, unwind, and open. We use conscious breath, emotional release, intuitive touch, and energetic attunement to reconnect you with what’s already alive beneath the surface.
And sometimes, that’s rage.
Sometimes grief.
Sometimes laughter, orgasm, surrender, or stillness.
Whatever arises, it is medicine.
The Practitioner Is Not the Healer—You Are.
One of the most profound teachings I’ve received from this work, and from Elliot Saxby’s teachings, is this:
We are not here to heal you. We are here to remind you of your own healing power.
The practitioner holds a loving, non-judgemental mirror.
They offer guidance, presence, and sacred touch.
But the real shift—the alchemy—that happens inside you.
Your breath. Your choice. Your body. Your soul.
That is the true healer.
Reclaiming Your Power
When you stop outsourcing your healing and start listening within, a quiet revolution begins.
You begin to trust your body again.
You stop abandoning yourself.
You honour your pain—not as a problem to be fixed, but as a sacred portal.
You reclaim your sensuality, your sovereignty, your softness.
And most of all—you remember.
You remember that the medicine was never outside of you.
It’s always been inside your bones, your breath, your belly, your heart.
You are the medicine.
You are the miracle.
And you are ready.
